The Jira integration in CloudDefense allows your team to seamlessly link security findings directly into your Jira projects, improving collaboration between security and development teams.
How Jira Integration Helps
Centralized Issue Tracking: Create Jira tickets directly from security findings in CloudDefense.
Prioritized Remediation: Prioritize security issues based on severity and assign them to the right teams.
Streamlined Collaboration: Enhance communication between security and development teams for quicker resolution.
Setting Up Jira Cloud
Go to the Integrations tab in the navigation bar. Look into Team Tools and select Jira from the available options.
On the Jira integration page, click the green New Integration button on the right side of the screen.
A pop-up window will appear. Choose a CloudDefense team from the dropdown and press Next Step.
Provide your Jira Project Key and Domain_name / Organization / Jira_server_domain.
Please copy the project key from the Jira Software window Here is an example of this:
Input the “Domain_name / Organization / Jira_server_domain” which can be found in the URL of the project. For example refer the below image:
Now input all the credentials acquired and after that click Next Step.
Enter your Jira Email and Jira Authorization Key in the next step and click the Next button for the final window.
You can create a Jira Authorization key and generate a Jira API token here:
https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens.
In the final step, you'll need to specify the vulnerability levels for which you want tickets automatically created in Jira.
When a scan detects new vulnerabilities tagged as "new", tickets will be generated for those marked as high priority, provided this setting is enabled in your Jira configuration.
This integration operates at the team level, ensuring that all applications within the team benefit from this streamlined process.
Setting Up Jira Server
Now you need to go through all of the previous steps mentioned above until you see the "Jira Server" checkbox and continue with the above documentation for the rest.
